Fine Arts and Classical Painting

My journey into digital design started in the classical arts. I studied and received a degree in classical oil painting and portraiture with a focus on Baroque and Rococo and 19th-century Neoclassicism. With a particular interest in Peter Paul Rubens’s method of painting, I carry his technique throughout my own work by layering contrast in a neutral underpainting, then applying “dead” color, and finally finishing with “full” color.

Design is for the users - so while my digital work is for everyone else, fine arts was always for me and my personal happiness.
